I have been using SMF for years now through fantastico... all i have ever gotten are errors because it is never updated. Well this is fixed with YOUR services!

I have used SMF for years and have never been disappointed by their service nor their product. They offer excellent support and a great deal of tested and approved board themes and modifications. Each theme and modification is thoroughly tested and approved before showing up on their site. This helps prevent malicious authors from hurting users. Overall, the best forum software I have found. :)

I have been using SMF for five years and have got hundred thousands of members with thousands of content. It didn't cause any problem. Smf is the best.

As a Web Developer and programmer, I wanted something that was customizable without "re-inventing the wheel". SMF is impressively written while being accessible and READABLE to the DIY programmer who wants more from an already amazing Forums package. I look forward to version 2.0 when it comes out of Beta. SMF Rawks!

I've been using SMP for four year. I wouldn't use anything else. It's easy to customize and the simple machines crew are quick to respond to technical questions... often walking me through things I have no clue about.. quite friendly for the novice

This is one of the best forum options out there, especially since its free. Very comparable to Invision and well maintained. I would have rated it a straight 5, BUT due to issues with Bridges to CMS, which is almost always needed, had to drop it one. If you are thinking to install version 2 it has many MAJOR issues with its SSI interface to integrate the script into your CMS.

I have used them all and SMF is the best and heres why... 1) Customization / Mod add-ons - some forums have this feature, some dont... 2) Feature packed - some forums offer basic function or miss out on certain things, SMF has everything. 3) its free... vBulletin costs hundreds per year yet this SMF 2.0.1 is free and is just as good.

Hey all, i'm using SMF for my forums for a long time now, and i can tell you all thats its the best software for creating a forum. many features, many options, nice admin panel, fast and less space required.
